SGP40 air quality sensor manufactured by SparkFun is a module that provides accurate measurement of the air quality in your home. SGP40 is based on Sensirion's innovative CMOSens technology using a metal oxide (MOx) sensor. The sensor measures air quality with humidity compensation. It bases its measurements on the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Both the module itself and the VOC algorithm used by it are characterized by high resistance to polluting gases. The SGP40 sensor is very sensitive and reports important VOC data within minutes of power on.
