WOOD filament for your 3D printer! PrimaSELECT WOOD is an outstanding and beautiful 3D printer filament. The material smells like wood, looks like wood and feels like wood. So surely it´s wood, right? The answer is – almost. PrimaSELECT WOOD is based on our PrimaSELECT PLA formula and has all the benefits that PrimaSELECT PLA has. For creating wood, we added 35-40% wood and that is what gives our WOOD filament its unique properties.
PrimaSELECT WOOD has a wood-like appearance when your 3D print is finished. PrimaSELECT WOOD also comes in a range of beautiful and vivid colors that are very nature-like with a nice appearance.
PrimaSELECT WOOD feels a bit softer when you touch it than ordinary WOOD materials. It´s also more pliable which makes it perfect for all 3D printers including printers with a Bowden set up.
Due to the very low shrinkage and the fact that you don´t need a heated bed PrimaSELECT WOOD is very easy to use in all FDM/FFF printers. Warping is not a factor you have to consider if you use PrimaSELECT WOOD and it will also not deform when your 3D prints are done, which is common among cheaper materials. If your 3D printer is equipped with a heated bed, we recommend that you use a temperature setting of 40 - 60 °C.
For best results, we recommend that you use PrimaSELECT WOOD with a larger nozzle than 0,4 mm. Our test has shown that a 0,8 mm nozzle gives the best result.
It´s packed in a sturdy box and packed with silica gel to avoid moister.
