SGP40 gas sensor is used as an instrument to monitor indoor air quality. It allows monitoring the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOC) present in the air. The measured values are processed by an algorithm and presented in a VOC index, which represents the air quality value on a scale from 0 to 500. The lower the VOC index value the cleaner the air. The measuring range is from 0 ppm to 1000 ppm. The sensor is equipped with STEMMA QT / Qwiic compliant connectors, with which it can be connected to a microcontroller module such as Arduino.
