EBMIA D12 Series Three-Phase Inverters
D12 three-phase inverters are used to control three-phase asynchronous AC motors—the most common type of motor used in industry. The D12 scalar inverter is designed for quick startup and simple applications. It is ideal for standard use cases requiring control over motor speed and direction, or for specialized motors designed to operate with an inverter.
We recommend using this series of inverters for electric spindles up to 2.2 kW, as well as in applications such as pumps and machine tool spindle control.
D12 Inverter Implementation:
The D12 inverter enables the creation of a simple induction motor control system using the inverter’s control panel, external control buttons, and potentiometers. For more complex control systems, you can also utilize a PLC or the MODBUS RTU communication protocol. The control panel can be detached and mounted in a convenient location using a dedicated panel cable. If a different cable length is required, an AWG28/10 ribbon cable and standard IDC connectors can be used.
Inverter Configuration
The inverter is factory-configured for operation with a star-connected motor having a rated frequency of 50 Hz. The drive is factory-set for a motor with a nominal power rating equal to that of the drive itself, configured for a G (heavy-duty) load. By default, operation is controlled via the drive's keypad, and speed adjustment is performed using the built-in potentiometer. The drive is configured by modifying parameter codes via the buttons on the operator panel. Specific parameter codes are detailed in the user manual.
NOTE: For applications involving electric shafts, the frequency drive must be configured accordingly. Key parameters include the nominal frequency and motor current (the nominal frequency for electric shafts is typically greater than 50 Hz).
