The CreatBot D400 HS is a professional FDM/FFF 3D printer designed for large-scale prototypes, functional parts, and production using engineering-grade materials. With a large build volume (up to 420×400×420 mm), dual auto-lifting extruders, a heated build chamber (up to 70°C), and print speeds reaching 600 mm/s, this machine is tailored for complex professional applications.

- Filament monitoring and backup mode: When the filament runs out, the printing process can be paused, and the system automatically switches to a second nozzle.
- Remote control: Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity, along with a dedicated app, allow for remote monitoring and control of the printing process.
Professional High-Speed Printing
The CreatBot D400 HS is designed for professional users who need to combine the printing of large objects with high productivity. Its reinforced motion system and Klipper-based control are optimized for high printing speeds, while the high-performance hotend delivers a material flow rate of up to 90mm³/s. This enables the rapid production of large prototypes, manufacturing tools, fixtures, and functional parts.
Large Build Volume and Advanced Materials
With a single extruder, the build volume reaches 420×400×420 mm—providing ample space for larger models and prototypes. When using dual extruders, the build volume is 365×400×420 mm. The D400 HS supports a wide range of filaments, including PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, PC, nylon, and TPU, as well as fiber-reinforced materials such as ABS-CF, PA-CF, PA-GF, PC-CF, and PET-CF.
The actively heated build chamber can reach temperatures of up to 70°C, which helps reduce thermal stress and the risk of warping when printing with technical materials. A maximum nozzle temperature of 420°C ensures the ideal conditions for processing materials that require high temperatures. Intelligent Dual Extrusion System
The two extruders feature an automatic lifting mechanism and "Dual Nozzle Shutter" technology. When a nozzle is not in use, it is lifted and covered by a mechanical shutter, which minimizes the risk of unwanted material leakage from the idle nozzle. This makes the system ideal for printing with different materials, colors, or support structures.
Furthermore, the D400 HS includes a feature that allows it to automatically switch to the second nozzle if the filament (plastic) runs out during a print job—provided that specific conditions are met.
Automatic Calibration and Precise Control
To simplify the calibration process, the D400 HS utilizes Eddy Current technology for automatic print bed leveling. This non-contact system is designed to rapidly scan the surface of the platform. Additionally, an HD camera is used to determine the XY-axis offset between the nozzles, while a separate sensor is employed to establish the Z-axis offset. Automatic print bed leveling and various calibration functions reduce the need for manual adjustments and help ensure a consistent first-layer height across the entire large print area.
Heated Build Chamber
The active build chamber can be heated up to 70°C, helping to ensure a more controlled temperature during the printing process. This reduces the risk of thermal stress and warping—a crucial factor when printing larger models or using technical materials.
Filtration and Remote Monitoring
The D400 HS features an integrated HEPA and activated carbon filter, which captures fine particles and reduces VOCs and odors generated during printing. The printer is also equipped with a remote monitoring camera and offers Wi-Fi or LAN connectivity for remote control and file transfer.
A 7-inch touchscreen provides access to various functions, including temperature monitoring, preheating, axis control, filament management, calibration, and print settings.
