DC-DC Step-Down Converter XL4015E1 from 0-5A to 0.8-30V current and voltage regulation - battery charger

A module with a Step-Down pulse converter that reduces the input voltage range from 5V-32V to 0.8V-30V. It is used to power any 5-32V voltage system, i.e.: projects, Arduino modules, Raspberry, detectors, sensors, microcontrollers, LED lighting.

Step-Down converter XL4015E1 5A - reduces the input voltage 5-32V to a lower voltage, regulated by a potentiometer from 0.8V to 30V.

• The 36V 5A XL4015 DC-DC Converter Module is a universal step-down power module with smooth adjustment of output voltage and current using precision potentiometers.
• The functions of the module are displayed by LEDs, so it is easy to monitor its operational status.
• It can be used as an LED driver (CCD LED driver), an efficient lithium-ion battery charger, or a voltage stabilizer with current protection.
• It is used to power any system with an input voltage between 5V and 30V ie: DIY Projects, Arduino Modules, Raspberry, Detectors, Sensors, Microcontrollers, LED Lighting (Powered Control Diodes!) etc.

Lithium battery charging function: Li-Ion, Li-Pol: 1-8S.

• Determine the output voltage based on the charged packs and the optimal battery charging current. After these procedures, you can connect the pack to the inverter.
• Two status LEDs provide information about the charging process: the inner LED lights up when the battery is charging (high current consumption) and the outer LED lights up when the battery is charging (minimum power consumption).

XL4015E converter module connection method - has 4 screw connections: XL4015 converter - pins

• IN+ Input voltage - positive pole.
• IN- Input voltage - negative pole (ground).
• OUT+ Output voltage - positive pole.
• OUT - output voltage - negative pole (ground).

Installation instructions for the XL4015 inverter:

• When the output power exceeds 15W, it is recommended to install a heat sink in the XL4015 controller, which can be soldered from the bottom or attach a copper plate for better thermal contact.
• The input voltage must be at least 2V higher than the output voltage to ensure proper operation of the inverter.
• Correct polarity of the input voltage (IN+ ; IN -) is required, and reverse connection may damage the inverter.

Regulation and signaling:

• The output current is regulated by a potentiometer on the output side (OUT), and the output voltage is regulated by a potentiometer on the input side (IN).
• Turning the multi-turn potentiometers clockwise increases the values.
• The LED next to the OUT terminal signals the transition to CV mode (e.g. end of battery charging) and the adjacent LED indicates CCD mode (e.g. charging in progress).
• The LED on the XL4015 indicates that the short circuit protection is activated.
• The colors of the diodes may vary depending on the delivery, but the inverter functions properly from 5.5V.
