DFRobot manufacturer's Arduino Uno RS232 shield allowing it to communicate through RS232 standard signal. RS232 is a signal transmission standard often used in the manufacturing industry to allow reliable signal transmission over long distances, which in the past has been used in manufacturing machines and other automation. The module communicates with the Arduino via the UART / Serial (RX / TX) interface, converting the signal itself to RS232.

Note: the maximum distance over which a signal can be transmitted depends on the frequency of the signal.

Technical specs:

●    Bolts fastened RS232 F-type connector
●    The free space of the shield has soldering pads, so you can solder additional components. The pads are gold plated for good electric contact.
●    The module communicates with the Arduino via the UART / Serial (RX / TX) interface, then converting the signal to RS232.
●    The module has an off button, so you do not need to remove it to program the Arduino
●    An LED is installed to indicate the signal status
●    Operating voltage: 5V DC
●    Size: 55 x 53 mm
●    Suitable for Arduino Uno, Mega, Leonardo and other similar microcontrollers
