FlowTech™ Hotend for Creality Ender 5 Max

The FlowTech Hotend is a plug-and-play upgrade for the Creality Ender 5 Max, built around Micro Swiss's Hyper-CHT™ nozzle and a sealed, leak-proof hotend assembly. It's designed to raise print speed without giving up quality, and to make routine nozzle maintenance simpler than on the stock hotend.
Hyper-CHT™ NozzleThe Hyper-CHT nozzle uses a six-channel internal geometry, based on Bondtech's patented CHT design, that roughly doubles the nozzle's internal heating surface compared to a standard nozzle. That extra surface area lets it melt filament faster, increasing flow rate by up to 95% and supporting speeds of up to 62 mm³/s. Because the plastic is heated evenly from the inside out rather than just at the surface, layer bonding stays strong even at higher speeds, instead of the weaker adhesion that can come with pushing a standard nozzle faster than it's designed for.
Sealed Heater CoreUnlike the Ender 5 Max's original heater core, the FlowTech's heater core is fully sealed. That helps it retain heat more efficiently for more stable printing temperatures, and it protects the heating element and thermistor inside from damage, which helps the hotend hold up longer over time.
Leak-Proof NozzleThe FlowTech Hotend combines the nozzle and a titanium thermal break into a single, permanently sealed assembly. Because there's no separate joint between nozzle and thermal break for filament to work its way out over time, the design stays leak-proof rather than gradually loosening the way a standard threaded nozzle and a separate heat break can.
Cold Nozzle ChangesBecause the nozzle and thermal break are one sealed unit, swapping a nozzle doesn't require heating it up first or tightening it hot afterward, the way a standard hotend usually does. The whole change can be done cold and with one hand, which makes switching nozzle sizes or replacing a worn nozzle a quick job rather than a small production.
Hardened Steel InsertThe nozzle's tip uses a hardened steel insert, heat-treated to 68 HRC, plated with electroless nickel, and finished with a nonstick nano WS2 coating with a coefficient of friction of 0.035. That combination is intended to resist wear from abrasive filaments, such as those with carbon or glass fiber, far longer than an untreated brass nozzle would, while still keeping filament moving smoothly through the tip.
Drop-In UpgradeThis hotend is precisely tuned for the Creality Ender 5 Max, including a matched NTC thermistor, so it installs as a direct replacement for the stock hotend without needing any hardware changes or firmware modifications. It's rated for printing up to 300°C, which is enough for the same general-purpose and engineering filaments the Ender 5 Max is already used with.
Expanding Nozzle CompatibilityThis hotend ships with a 0.4 mm Hyper-CHT nozzle, but it's built around Micro Swiss's wider FlowTech nozzle ecosystem. Beyond the Hyper-CHT, that range includes brass-plated, CM2™ hardened-tip, high-flow CHT, combined CHT/CM2™, and DiamondBack nozzles, so the hotend can be matched to a different material or wear profile later without replacing the whole assembly.
