The FM-01 module is intended for power distribution and protection in numerical machine controllers. It can also be used for power distribution in various types of low-voltage systems (power distribution). It has one input via a six-pin ARK connector. We connect its three terminals to the "+" of the power supply. the rest with "-". The module has four independently protected outputs. Each of them has a fuse and voltage indication. Damage to the fuse is visualized by turning off the appropriate LED. The module accepts voltage in the range: 5 V ÷ 80 V DC. The voltage range depends on the resistors used to limit the current flowing through the signaling diodes.
To make connections with external devices, disconnectable connectors of the 5.08 mm standard with a maximum voltage of 250V and a forward current of 16A were used. Components. from which the FM-01 module was made meet the European Union's RoHS directive (Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances) regarding environmental protection. The device is made using lead-free technology. The binder used to assemble the device contains 99% tin and 1% copper.

Advantages of the FM - 01 module:
  • low cost.
  • small dimensions.
  • power supply up to 80VDC.
  • versatility of applications.
  • simple operation.
  • easy assembly.
  • favorable price/quality/opportunity ratio.

The dimensions from the table are marked in the drawing below:

Construction (description of connectors) of the FM-01 module P1 connector pins
IN connector Function
"+" Module power input 5 – 80VDC. All pins of the IN connector marked with a plus are included in the circuit.
"-" Module power supply ground. All pins of the IN connector marked with a minus are included in the circuit.
P2 connector pins
Connector Function
OUT Fuse module output for powering individual axes of the stepper motor controller (individual receivers). Looking from the top (from the dangerous voltage sign) we see four pairs of symbols " + and - ". these are the outputs of individual module channels.
Fuses and diodes

Each module channel has a separate fuse (standard 5A type F). The designations F1 to F4 correspond to the order of pins on the P2 connector. A blown fuse (fuse activation) is indicated by the corresponding LED (LED 1 to LED 4) turning off.

Operation of the FM - 01 module Connecting the module

The fuse module is intended for installation by a qualified installer. having appropriate (required and necessary for a given country) permits and authorizations to connect (interfere with) low-voltage installations.
Before starting the installation. a power balance must be prepared. During normal and emergency operation, the current consumed by the receivers from one channel cannot exceed 8A.

Attention !!!

There is dangerous voltage on the board. Connections and maintenance
module should be carried out with the power supply disconnected.

Tips In case the FM-01 module does not work properly. the first step should be to check whether the problem is electrical or mechanical (lack of connections). It is important to. to document every step in solving the problem. You may need to use this documentation at a later date. and the details contained therein will greatly help our Technical Support employees solve the problem.

Assembly tips:

It is best to start the assembly with small-sized elements, such as resistors. diodes. Then solder the fuse holders and screw connections. The final step is to install the fuses in their holders and place the insulating covers.
