FM-02 fuse module

The FM-02 module is intended for power distribution and protection in numerical machine controllers. It can also be used in any device to connect a switch. power indication. or an additional receiver via an independent fuse. The module eliminates additional connectors and tangled wires. ensuring the aesthetic appearance of the device. Both channels are protected by two protections - current and overvoltage. FM-02 was designed for 230V mains voltage. but it can also be used for other, lower voltages. When using the device for other power supply values, appropriate varistors should be selected.
Standard 5.08 mm detachable terminal blocks with a maximum voltage of 250V and a forward current of 16A were used to make connections with external devices. Components. from which the FM-02 module was made meet the European Union's RoHS directive (Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances) regarding environmental protection. The device is made using lead-free technology. The binder used to assemble the device contains 99% tin and 1% copper.

Before starting the installation. a power balance must be prepared. During normal and emergency operation, the sum of currents (power) consumed by the receivers cannot exceed the rated value of the switch. The second important thing is the finite current efficiency of each of the 2 outputs. which is approximately 8A.

Attention !!!
There is dangerous mains voltage on the board. Connections and maintenance of the soft start module should be made with the power supply disconnected.

In case the FM-02 module does not work properly. the first step should be to check whether the problem is electrical or mechanical (lack of connections). It is important to. to document every step in solving the problem. You may need to use this documentation at a later date. and the details contained therein will greatly help our Technical Support employees solve the problem.

Connectors - detachable terminal blocks, 5.08 mm standard, 4 pins, 3 pcs.

It is best to start the assembly with small-sized elements, i.e. varistors. Then solder the fuse holders and connector sockets. The final step is to install the fuses in their holders and place the insulating covers.

Installation personnel must have basic knowledge of how to handle electrical equipment. The device should be installed in closed rooms in accordance with environmental class I. with normal air humidity (RH = 90% max. without condensation) and temperature in the range of 0°C to +50°C.
