HiFiBerry Amp3 is a speaker amplifier in the form of an overlay for Raspberry Pi minicomputers. The overlay is equipped with a class D amplifier with a maximum power of 60 W. Amp3 can work with all types of speakers or impedance from 4 Ohm to 8 Ohm. Supports sampling rates ranging from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz (16-bit to 32-bit). The supply voltage is from 8 V to 24 V. The Raspberry Pi does not require additional power supply, the minicomputer is powered through the overlay. For operation with speakers with an impedance of 4 Ohm, the manufacturer recommends using a voltage of 12 V to 20 V. A higher voltage is recommended only for speakers with an impedance of 8 Ohm. However, the best choice for 8 Ohm speakers will be a voltage in the range of 18 V to 20 V. The shield works with minicomputers Raspberry Pi 4B / 3B+ / 3B / Zero 2 W / Zero W / Zero.
