Microswiss FlowTech™ Hotend for Creality K2 SE

The Micro Swiss FlowTech™ Hotend is designed specifically as an upgrade for the Creality K2 SE. The kit includes a plug-and-play heater core and thermistor tuned for the printer, allowing the original Z-height, build volume and firmware settings to remain unchanged.

The upgrade also brings the K2 SE into the wider FlowTech nozzle ecosystem, providing access to different FlowTech nozzle options for different printing requirements.

This FlowTech edition is tuned specifically for the Creality K2 SE. The supplied NTC thermistor is matched to the printer, so no firmware modifications are required after installation.

The upgrade preserves the printer's original Z-height and build volume, allowing the hotend to integrate without changing the basic geometry of the machine.

FlowTech combines the nozzle and thermal break into a permanently sealed assembly. By eliminating the conventional threaded joint between these components, the design helps prevent molten filament from leaking around the hotend.

This sealed construction also removes the need for traditional hot tightening when installing a FlowTech nozzle.

FlowTech nozzles can be changed without heating the hotend first. The nozzle can be removed and installed while cold, simplifying maintenance and reducing the handling involved when switching between nozzle options.

The installation guide specifies a recommended nozzle tightening torque of 1.7 Nm.

The K2 SE FlowTech Hotend uses a ceramic cylindrical heater together with a 28.6 mm melt zone. Micro Swiss describes this combination as providing strong volumetric flow characteristics for consistent filament melting and delivery.

The FlowTech Hotend uses an all-metal design intended to handle most modern 3D printing filaments. Micro Swiss machines and assembles the hotend in-house in the USA, with quality-control checks carried out throughout production.

Each hotend also undergoes a complete thermal cycling test before packaging.

The FlowTech Hotend for Creality K2 SE is rated for temperatures up to 300°C. Its NTC thermistor is specifically tuned for the K2 SE, allowing this temperature capability without requiring firmware changes.

Installing the FlowTech Hotend allows the K2 SE to use Micro Swiss FlowTech nozzles. Available options include Brass Plated, CM2™ Hardened Tip, High Flow CHT, High Flow CHT CM2™, Hyper-CHT™ and DiamondBack nozzles.

The supplied nozzle is a 0.4 mm FlowTech™ Brass Plated nozzle.

The upgrade replaces the original heater core and installs using the supplied copper thermal adapter and titanium mounting screws. After installation, Micro Swiss instructs the user to run the printer's Nozzle PID calibration from the Expert Mode menu.

The Creality K2 SE printer is required and sold separately.
