Microswiss FlowTech™ Hotend for Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2

Upgrade the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 with the Micro Swiss FlowTech Hotend, engineered for high-flow printing and reliable everyday operation. The hotend combines Micro Swiss FlowTech technology with a genuine Bondtech CHT High Flow nozzle and can achieve a maximum volumetric flow rate of up to 50 mm³/s.

This version is specifically configured for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2. Micro Swiss uses a thermistor configuration matched to the printer, allowing the hotend to operate at temperatures up to 350 °C without requiring firmware changes.

The included nozzle uses genuine Bondtech CHT technology to increase melting capacity and support higher filament flow. The CHT design divides the filament path into multiple chambers as it travels through the melt zone, promoting more uniform melting and deposition. According to Micro Swiss, this helps reduce gaps and weak points between layers while enabling a maximum volumetric flow rate of up to 50 mm³/s.

The FlowTech design integrates the nozzle and titanium thermal break into a permanently sealed assembly. This eliminates the conventional nozzle-to-heat-break sealing interface and is designed to prevent filament leakage from the hotend.

FlowTech nozzles can be changed without preheating the hotend. Because the nozzle and heat break form an integrated assembly, no hot tightening is required, and Micro Swiss designed the system so the nozzle can be replaced with one hand.

The FlowTech heater core uses a sealed construction that retains heat within the core while protecting the heating element and thermistor. This design is intended to provide stable printing temperatures while reducing the risk of damage to these components.

The supplied 0.4 mm CHT High Flow CM2 nozzle combines a copper chromium zirconium body with an M2 hardened high-speed steel insert. The components feature electroless nickel plating, while the hardened insert also uses a non-stick WS2 nano coating. Micro Swiss specifies a heat-treated hardness of 68 HRC for the insert.

The FlowTech Hotend uses an all-metal construction and is manufactured and assembled by Micro Swiss in the USA. According to the manufacturer, each unit undergoes quality-control checks at multiple stages as well as thermal cycling before packaging.

The Elegoo Centauri Carbon 1 uses different thermistor parameters and requires the separate Centauri Carbon 1 version of the FlowTech Hotend. The two versions should not be treated as interchangeable.
