The OPTICUM W-20 amplifier is used wherever the signal from an external antenna (not equipped with an amplifier) reaching the receiver is too weak, which is manifested by jamming or picture disappearance.
The reason for such symptoms is usually: too great a distance between the antenna and the transmitter, natural obstacles (hills, trees), tall buildings between the transmitter and the antenna, signal distribution from the antenna to several TV sets.
The amplifier is designed for use with external directional antennas with a balun ended with an F socket.
The amplifier should be screwed directly into the socket of the balun at the antenna and the voltage of 5-12 V should be supplied to it from the receiver or power supply.
