Power over Ethernet HAT (E) is a shield for Raspberry Pi in versions 3B+ and 4B. It allows you to simultaneously obtain a network connection in the 802.3af standard and supply power to the module via the Ethernet connector. The input voltage ranges from 37 V to 57 V DC, and the output parameters are 5 V / 2.5 A. For the proper operation of the Power over Ethernet HAT, a router / switch with the PoE (Power over Ethernet) function is necessary. In addition, the overlay has a small size, and its design allows it to be used also with official cases for the Raspberry Pi.
