What is new is the placement of the 5V/2.1A USB socket on the front panel in an easily accessible place to facilitate the connection of any device.
The radio has such functions as: ASC automatic regulation of the SQUELCH squelch, quick selection of channels using the Up/Down switches on the microphone, which is a very big advantage of this radio. Multistandard allows you to adjust the operating parameters of the radio to the frequencies used in a given country.
An important feature of this radio is the use of filters that improve the quality of use of the radio and the placement of the VOX function that allows you to speak into the microphone without pressing the PTT switch. We also have the option of connecting a parrot - an external tube - PA function.
The PRESIDENT BARRY2 radio, in addition to AM modulation - generally accepted and used in Poland - has FM modulation, which is useful in some European countries where it is the mandatory standard, or when vehicles travel in a convoy, close to each other (25-100 m). At this distance, FM modulation provides better sound quality, but does not allow listening to announcements from other drivers transmitting in AM modulation.
