The Revopoint POP 4 is a versatile 3D scanner designed for both portable and desktop use. Combining blue cross-line lasers and infrared structured light, it can scan dark, shiny, and complex objects with high accuracy – often without the need for markers or scanning spray. The scanner is designed for professional workflows in reverse engineering, 3D printing, product development, digital media, and industrial measurement. With support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, the POP 4 works equally well in the studio as it does in the field.

High precision for complex objects

The POP 4 combines 30 blue cross-beam laser lines with infrared full-field light and VCSEL technology to create detailed 3D models with high precision. Laser scanning achieves an accuracy of up to 0.03 mm and is particularly effective for mechanical components, reverse engineering and scan-to-CAD workflows. The scanner processes many complex materials such as dark plastic surfaces, reflective metal and flat objects without the need for traditional aids such as markers or scanning spray.

Two versions for different workflows

The standard version includes the scanner, tripod, mini turntable and the necessary cables. The package is suitable for users who work mainly stationary at a desk or in a studio with a computer.

The Premium version also includes:

5500 mAh battery holder
Outdoor blue filters for scanning in bright sunlight
Protective carrying case

The ergonomic battery holder provides up to four hours of cordless operation and allows mobile work with a smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi 6. The included outdoor filters also allow blue laser scanning up to 100,000 lux, reducing interference from strong ambient light.

Real-time AI-guided scanning

The POP 4 uses built-in AI computing to isolate the object during the scanning process. The Zero-Noise Capture feature automatically filters out backgrounds, tables, and unwanted elements in real time. The AI system can also recognize and hide the user's fingers, so objects can be held and rotated directly in the hand during scanning.

Multi-line laser

Uses 30 blue cross-laser lines to ensure maximum accuracy down to 0.03 mm. Perfect for reverse engineering, engineering components and detailed mechanical objects.

Full-field HD

Infrared structured light for fast, marker-free scanning of faces, bodies and objects with high levels of detail.

VCSEL Rapid

Optimized for larger objects and outdoor scanning in bright sunlight up to 100,000 lux.

Hybrid HD

Combines speed, stable tracking and high levels of detail for flexible workflow.

3D Gaussian sprite printing (3DGS)

POP 4 supports direct export to .splat format for photorealistic 3D Gaussian sprite printing. This technology allows for more realistic results for reflections, transparency effects and complex materials compared to traditional texturing. Unlike mobile solutions, POP 4 creates points on a precise geometric base model, ensuring better dimensional accuracy and more stable results.

Software and Workflow

With Revo Scan 6, point clouds can be processed automatically or manually using cleaning, optimization and export tools.

The ecosystem is completed by:

POP 4 supports exporting to formats such as PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, 3MF, GLTF, FBX and Splat, making models compatible with software such as SolidWorks, Blender, Fusion 360, ZBrush, AutoCAD, Cura and Bambu Studio.

Blue laser scanning (multi-line laser) and 3DGS mode require a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card for hardware acceleration, such as an RTX 3060 or higher. Multi-line laser mode does not support standalone operation directly with a mobile phone and requires a PC connection. However, full-field and VCSEL modes can be used directly with compatible mobile devices.
