A mobile robotics kit for the classroom, with which the DOBOT Magician Lite robotic arm becomes not only programmable, but also movable in space. By connecting the robotic arm to the Magician GO chassis, students can create tasks in which the robot moves along a planned route, recognizes the environment, reaches different work areas and performs robotic arm actions in them.
This allows you to practically combine robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, navigation and automation in one kit.
A robotic arm that can move
DOBOT Magician Lite is an educational robotic arm designed for practical learning of robotics and programming. When placed on the Magician GO mobile platform, the robot can not only pick up or move objects, but also drive itself to the place where it needs to perform a task.
Magician GO uses Mecanum wheels, so it can move forward and backward, sideways, diagonally and turn around in place. Such movement provides much more freedom when creating tasks in the classroom and allows students to practically explore the principles of how mobile robots work.
Navigation and artificial intelligence
Magician GO has two AI cameras - one installed at the front of the chassis, the other can be used in conjunction with the robotic arm. Integrated AI functions allow you to create tasks related to image and text recognition, road recognition, road sign and pedestrian detection. AI algorithms can operate locally, without an internet connection.
The integrated odometer transmits the robot's position data in real time, so students can monitor its movement, program routes, and practically get acquainted with the principles of autonomous navigation.
Program and create your own scenarios
The kit works with the DobotLab programming environment. You can start with graphical programming, so students with less programming experience can complete the first tasks. As you progress, you can switch to Python and create more complex robot operation scenarios.
Students can program not only driving, but also combine it with the actions of the robotic arm. For example: drive to a specified location → recognize an object → pick it up with a robotic arm → take it to another area → place it in a specified location.
Task mat – for practical challenges
The task mat included in the kit creates a clear space for robot navigation and programming tasks. It allows you to create different routes, work areas and situations, so students not only write a program, but also immediately see how their solution works in a real environment.
Such tasks encourage algorithmic thinking, problem solving, experimentation and teamwork.
Upon purchasing the classroom kit, training is provided at your institution. We will help you prepare the equipment for work, introduce you to robot control and programming, and practically show you how to use the kit's capabilities in your lessons.
