The Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 is one of the first Shelly devices designed for outdoor use to support Matter.

Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 (Device) is a smart plug/socket with power measurement and overheat protection, allowing you to remotely control electrical appliances via your mobile phone, tablet, PC or home automation system. It can operate independently on a local Wi-Fi network or can be controlled via cloud home automation services.

The Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 can be accessed, set up, and monitored remotely from any location where the user has an internet connection, as long as the device is connected to a Wi-Fi router and the internet.

The device has a built-in web interface that allows you to monitor and control the device and adjust its settings.

  • When connecting to the mains for the first time:

    • The blue light flashes to indicate access point mode.

  • After successfully connecting to the Wi-Fi network and turning the power on/off again:

    • The red light blinks slowly, indicating that the device is reconnecting to the Wi-Fi network.

    • A steady red light indicates that the Device cannot reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.
