The soft start system prevents the formation of a current pulse in the transformer windings. generated when it is connected to the network. This impulse is important when the transformer power is greater than 200W and the rectifier system uses large-capacity filter capacitors - all this means that when such a transformer is connected to the network, the current consumed by it is higher than the rated one, which causes the fuse to trip and disconnect the power supply. When you turn it on again, the problem disappears. If we have a computer and, for example, a machine controller connected to one power strip, when the machine is turned on for the first time, the main fuse in the box will trip and turn off the machine and the computer - we will lose any unsaved machine settings, etc.
By using the SOFT START system, we eliminate this situation and we can work without any worries on the computer and the machine controller connected to one power supply rail with one fuse.
The system is built on a printed circuit board with ARK screw connectors, so it can be mounted directly in the machine controller housing. it also has a 5A fuse protecting the transformer.
The power of the transformer can reach up to 2kW (then the fuse should have a value of 9A).
