The DM870 controller is a universal, fully digital stepper motor drive, designed using a DSP processor with an advanced control algorithm. It provides an exceptional level of smooth motor operation, while ensuring optimal torque during operation of the stepper motor. This controller incorporates easy-to-use self-testing and automatic configuration technologies that ensure maximum performance of the connected motors. The motors emit much less noise during operation, the motors heat up less (lower energy loss), while maintaining smooth movement.

The DM870 controller has adjustable steps and output current. The first parameter can be set from full step to 102,400 steps / motor revolutions (with a 200 stepper motor). The second parameter can be set in the range from 0.5A to 7.0A.

Configuration can be performed using the switches on the housing or using the Protuner configuration program.
