Timekettle LiveTalk headphones let you converse freely, participate in meetings, and enjoy foreign-language content without having to constantly reach for your phone. There are four AI translation modes available, each suited to different situations—from face-to-face conversations and lectures to phone calls and watching multimedia content. The open-ear design ensures comfort during extended use. Each earbud uses two microphones to capture speech and an 11-mm driver to play back translations and other audio content. A single charge provides up to 4 hours of continuous translation, while the charging case extends the total runtime in this mode to 15 hours. An additional advantage is the ability to connect simultaneously to a phone and a computer, allowing you to conveniently use LiveTalk even while working on different devices.

Instead of limiting yourself to a single method of communication, the Timekettle LiveTalk earbuds let you choose the mode that best suits the situation. Face-to-Face Translation is designed for live, two-way conversations—you can hand one of the earbuds to the other person and carry on a conversation hands-free, or use both earbuds while the other person listens to the translation over the phone. The system automatically distinguishes between speakers and optimizes the translation sentence by sentence, making it easier to follow what both parties are saying.

Live Listening mode translates foreign-language speech in real time and plays the translation directly through the earbuds, making it easier to follow presentations, lectures, or conversations. Timekettle’s service plans also include the AI Live Summary feature, which automatically extracts key information and organizes it into a timeline-based summary. Translation is handled by an LLM AI language model, which takes the context of the speech into account rather than analyzing successive segments of the conversation in isolation. The technology works with the Babel OS system, and the software can be updated via OTA updates.

Voice Call Translation enables the translation of both callers’ speech during phone and video calls. The other person does not need to install an additional app, which makes it easy to use this feature even when communicating with people who do not use Timekettle. There is also an option to archive calls, allowing you to revisit them later.

Multi-Media Translation lets you use LiveTalk even when a language barrier arises while watching content. This mode provides real-time translation along with bilingual subtitles for videos, courses, and presentations. Bluetooth 5.3 handles communication with devices, and the headphones can be connected to both a phone and a computer at the same time. This makes it easy to use translation during online meetings and while working with content on your computer without having to install additional software—simply launch the Timekettle app on your smartphone. Simultaneous connection to two devices is available in both Voice Call and Multi-Media modes, so you can use translation during calls as well as while playing media on your computer.

LiveTalk offers translation in over 50 languages and supports over 100 accents, which significantly expands its potential for use in international communication. Offline translation is also available for 25 language pairs, allowing you to use this feature even without a constant internet connection. The service operates through the Timekettle app and is available in several plans. The free plan includes 200 minutes of translation, while the other plans allow you to increase your translation limit or use the service with unlimited minutes. The plans also include AI Refinement, AI Language Tutor, AI Live Summary, and Personal Glossary.

The open-ear design reduces the feeling of pressure, which is especially important during longer conversations, meetings, or when using live translation. Each earbud weighs just 6.9 g, so it doesn’t put much strain on the ear, and its dimensions are 53.4 × 34 × 13.4 mm. The materials used are antibacterial and skin-friendly.

The initial connection is established using the Timekettle app, which guides the user through the device pairing process. From within the app, you can also activate, deactivate, and customize touch controls related to, among other things, volume adjustment and voice assistant operation. This allows you to tailor how you use the headphones to your own preferences without having to rely on a single, fixed control scheme.

For conversations and meetings, it’s not just the translation itself that matters, but also the security of the data being processed. LiveTalk offers data encryption throughout the entire processing cycle and compliance with GDPR and FERPA requirements. As a result, the earbuds can also be used in situations where protecting privacy and the confidentiality of transmitted information is of particular importance.

Each earbud is equipped with a 60 mAh battery, while the charging case offers 500 mAh. On a single charge, you can use continuous translation for up to 4 hours, and with the charging case, the total runtime in this mode reaches 15 hours. When playing music, the entire set provides up to 35 hours of battery life. The case charges via a USB-C port, and a full charge takes about 75 minutes.
