The design of the tester resembles a flat screwdriver. It consists of a metal indicator and a plastic body with a readable LCD display.
There are two metal plates on the body that you need to touch with your finger during the measurement to choose one of the two methods - direct or inductive. The direct method allows you to check the current and measure it after direct contact of the indicator with the voltage.
Then the display will show lightning and voltage value. The inductive method allows you to detect voltage when it is connected to an insulated wire - then a lightning symbol will appear on the screen. The tester allows you to measure AC and DC current with a voltage from 12V to 250V.
