The use of a smooth PEI plate improves the accuracy of the Z-axis during the printing process, ensuring greater accuracy and consistency in the vertical dimension. These properties make the smooth PEI plate an excellent choice for printing parts that require high precision, where precise alignment and tight tolerances are crucial.

Smooth and Matte Surface Treatment

The use of a specially selected matte PEI sheet can give the bottom surface of the printed object a smooth and matte texture, improving its overall appearance.

Compatible with a variety of filaments

PEI allows printing not only with conventional materials such as PLA, TPU, PETG, but also with materials that require high temperatures, such as ABS and nylon.

Note: When printing with non-PLA filaments, use glue to prevent the sheet from tearing.

Reliable magnetic adhesion to prevent warping

The Bambu Smooth PEI plate has a 0.5mm thick spring steel plate that improves magnetic adhesion. This helps prevent warping and ensures optimal print quality during 3D printing. It also helps when printing larger models from materials that tend to warp, such as ABS, PC and nylon.

Notes:

Please note that when using a smooth PEI plate on A1, there is a higher risk of the plate curling at the corners or the printed models coming loose from the plate. This is due to the thicker smooth PEI layer applied to the plate, which will increase the distance from the base magnets and reduce the magnetic attraction.
If bubbles appear on the bottom of the sheet, they can be removed by heating it on a heated bed for several hours at a temperature of at least 80 degrees.
Dust and grease build-up on the printing plate reduces adhesion. It is recommended to clean the surface regularly with detergent and water to ensure the best adhesion.
Do not clean the smooth PEI with acetone as this will damage the PEI surface.
Always wait a few minutes before removing printed models to allow the plate to cool down and make the print easier to remove. This protects the plate from damage and ensures a long product life.
A thorough sanding of the surface with fine grit (600 recommended) sandpaper can restore adhesion.
The smooth PEI plate is considered a consumable part that will wear out over time. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents or cracks. The warranty only covers sheets that are defective at the time of delivery.
