The FY019 series linear actuator is an industrial, waterproof electric actuator with a load capacity of 2000 N and a stroke of 100 mm, designed for heavy loads.

Linear actuator design:

The housing of the FY019 electric actuator is made of durable aluminum alloy, and the piston rod is made of thick-walled, polished steel tube. Additional seals and hermetic connections between the actuator components ensure IP65 tightness.

The drive uses a spur gear with straight toothed steel gears, ensuring long and trouble-free operation. The gear is connected to a screw mechanism built into the piston rod of the linear actuator. The screw mechanism consists of a trapezoidal screw with a high-strength polymer nut. This design ensures long and trouble-free operation of the mechanism due to the self-lubricating properties of the nut material.

The drive motor is a brushed DC motor with a rated power of 35 W. The rated voltage of this drive is 24 V, which is a very common standard in industrial automation.

Mounting the electric drive:

The electric drive is mounted using 8mm pins that rotate at the base and in the hole in the piston rod.

Control of the electric drive:

The use of a classic brushed DC motor ensures very simple control of the drive. When voltage is applied to the actuator terminals, it extends. When the supply voltage is reversed, the actuator retracts. The extension speed of the actuator can be adjusted by adjusting the supply voltage.

Limit switches are permanently installed in the electric actuator housing. They prevent the piston rod from extending too far or from jamming during retraction.

When the power is turned on, the actuator extends until it reaches full extension. When full extension is reached, the internal nut activates the limit switch and the actuator stops. When the supply polarity is reversed, the actuator retracts to its maximum extension and activates the second limit switch.
