A heat-shrinkable tube with a diameter of 25.4 mm, when welded, shrinks to 12.7 mm, is a flexible tube that shrinks under the influence of high temperature, e.g. when placed on a cable and heated with hot air. The heat shrink tubing is 5 meters long and black in color. It is used to insulate and protect wires and to mark cables.
