Short description

"Shelly Pro RGBWW PM" (hereinafter referred to as the Device) is a five-channel smart light controller mounted on a DIN rail. It has 5 inputs (push-button, switch or analog) and five outputs. The device is typically used with LED strips. It supports 4 profiles - RGB and CCT (default), CCT x 2 , RGB and Lights x 2 and Lights x 5. Using the Lights x 5 profile, 5 different LED strips (groups of lights) can be independently controlled. The power measurement function allows real-time monitoring of voltage, current and power consumption.

The device can operate autonomously on a local Wi-Fi network or can be controlled via cloud home automation services. It can be accessed, controlled and monitored remotely from anywhere where the user has an Internet connection, as long as it is connected to a Wi-Fi router and the Internet. The Shelly Pro RGBWW PM device has a built-in web interface that can be used to monitor and control the device, as well as adjust its settings.

Main functions
  • DIN rail mounted

  • Supports multiple profiles: Supports RGB and CCT (default profile), CCT x 2 , RGB and Light x 2 and Light x 5

  • Energy metering: Accurate monitoring of energy consumption.

  • Bluetooth: The device complies with the Bluetooth standard and can connect to other Bluetooth devices and exchange data over a short distance.

  • BLE Gateway: Facilitates communication between BLE and Wi-Fi enabled devices.

  • Wi-Fi: The device can connect to a wireless network.

  • Wi-Fi Range Extender: Retransmits the Wi-Fi signal and extends its range.

  • Ethernet :

  • Scripting: Allows you to create automation scenarios using scripts.

  • Master schedules: Supports weekly schedules and procedures, including setting brightness, transition duration, and rollover signal value.

  • Advanced Schedules: Supports detailed schedules and procedures throughout the year with a wide range of time adjustments from seconds to months, including setting brightness, transition duration, and rollover signal value.

  • Auto On/Off Timer: Allows you to set an automatic on/off timer.

  • Local Actions: Allows you to create automation scenarios on your local Wi-Fi network, including setting brightness, transition duration, and flip signal value.

  • Webhooks: Supports automation through easy, event-based communication with other devices.

  • Compatibility: Perfectly compatible with third-party home automation systems.

KVS (Key-Value Store): The KVS service provides a basic persistent storage of key-value pairs.

Safety: Over current/voltage/power protection

Dynamic Components: A special set of components that are not initially present on the device and are dynamically created by the user

.

Independent control of each output (channel) in the "Lights x 5" profile: Individual control of each output is ensured for maximum flexibility.

Night mode: Allows you to set a specific brightness for the entrance lights at night.

  • When the night mode time is set, the target night mode brightness is always set, no matter what the current brightness or the minimum brightness is when the power is turned on

  • Nominal values: 50% brightness, RGB (255,255,255,255), 4600K (as applicable). Option to change brightness only or color/color temperature (keep current color/color temperature or brightness)

    .

Motor/Button/Analog Input Mode: Allows flexible input control via switches, buttons or potentiometers (10kΩ analog input)

  • CCT x 2 - input(0) and input(1) control CCT(0) (without temperature dimming), input(2) and input(3) control CCT(1), input(4) is disconnected

  • RGB and CCT - Input(0) and Input(1) control RGB, Input(2) and Input(3) control CCT. Input(4) is disconnected

  • RGB and light x 2 - input(0) controls RGB, input(2) controls light(0), input(3) controls light(1), input(1) and input(4) are separated

  • Lights x 5 - input(x) controls light(x)

  • One-button control - all profiles

  • Two-button adjustment control - only brightness increase/decrease is adjustable (color temperature cannot be controlled (changed) with the buttons)

    .

Transition Duration: Controls the time from the current brightness level to the desired brightness level change on request (both color and white). Also applies to the color temperature property. There is no separate transition for color temperature. The default transition is not applied if the input mode is “Analog”, in which case only a clear (custom) transition is applied to schedules and actions.

Minimum brightness when switching on: The brightness level (in percent) applied when the switching is on and the current brightness is lower than the 'Minimum brightness when switching'. The default value is 3% (for all profiles). Applies to RGB, CCT and light component.

Min/Max Brightness: Changes the range of the dimming signal to allow for more precise control of the output brightness. Applies to the Brightness feature only.

Min/Max Color Temperature : Provides support for LED strips with different CCTs by converting the min/max range of output color temperature to the specified values. The max value must be greater than the min value. Min value: 1000-9999 K, max value: 1001-10000 K. Default value: min: 2700 K, max: 6500 K

Button Fade Speed: Controls how quickly the output brightness changes when you hold down the button(s).

Button presets: Double-click applies brightness and color (or color temperature). Default values: Ability to change only brightness or color (color temperature) (keep current color (color temperature) or brightness).

Use cases
  • Energy Monitoring: Monitor the energy consumption of all connected lights in real time. This is useful for understanding energy consumption patterns and promoting energy efficiency.
