Ozobot is an easy-to-use educational robot that introduces children to the world of programming . Learning begins with learning commands in the form of sequences of colored squares, followed by block-based programming . The robot works well in educational institutions for group tasks, as well as individually at home. It opens the door to the world of computer science and STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, art, math). It teaches through play, developing logical and algorithmic thinking. The kit includes one Ozobot robot, a set of markers, a cable, and instructions. The new version of Ozobot has a 200 mAh battery, is Arduino -compatible , and software updates and connection to the Ozobot Blockly platform are via USB. The product can also be charged wirelessly.

Programming by drawing

Ozobot Bit Plus is designed to teach programming to children aged 5 and up. Children learn programming through play, drawing robotic paths and simple color codes. They essentially program tasks. This way, they complete their first programming tasks while developing other universal skills, such as algorithmic thinking, finding optimal solutions, and creativity.

Ozobot Coding Markers

Colored markers are used to draw the path the Ozobots will follow . The markers have beveled tips, ensuring the line is drawn exactly as wide as the robot requires. The markers are available in red, green, blue , and black . They are compatible with the Ozobot Bit and Ozobot Evo robots.

Programming in Blockly

Ozobot Bit Plus can be programmed offline or using tablets or computers. Children aged 8 and up can easily code Ozobot's movement and lighting effects themselves. The online visual editor, OzoBlockly.pl, offers five levels of programming, from novice to expert. This makes it suitable for both beginners and more experienced programmers. OzoBlockly.pl is based on the Blockly programming language, which, like Scratch, is a visual (block-based) language.
