Loctite 5910 is a single-component silicone glue/sealant that vulcanizes at room temperature (RTV). It is characterized by its stability, non-settling properties, weak odor, and minimal volatile components. This sealant does not cause corrosion and is highly resistant to oil.
Application:
- Primarily intended for sealing flange connections, Loctite 5910 is ideal for use in the automotive industry to seal flanges made of sheet metal or other materials with low stiffness. It withstands large joint displacements and is commonly used on drive transmission housings, oil pans, and water pumps.
Directions for Use:
- Apply Loctite 5910 in a ribbon onto a clean surface.
- Connect the parts within 15 minutes and press them to ensure the glue spreads evenly and completely fills the joint.
- Avoid subjecting the structure to heavy loads until the product has fully hardened, typically around 7 days.
Storage:
Store Loctite 5910 in closed containers in a cool and dry room at a temperature between 8°C and 28°C.
